Attorney Rebecca Cepluch
Rebecca S. Cepluch, Esq.

  Rebecca S. Cepluch, Esq

Rebecca concentrates her practice in the areas of family lawdomestic relations, juvenile court proceedings and criminal defense.  She graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1996 and thereafter graduated from Capital University Law School in January of 2000 and passed the Ohio bar exam on her first attempt. She has been licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio since 2001.

Rebecca has worked for several City Attorney offices and most recently worked for six and half years as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Butler County.

She has a thorough understanding of strategies employed by the state to prosecute those individuals charged with criminal and traffic offenses and aggressively defends those charged through motions to suppress, bench and jury trials.

In addition, Rebecca represented Butler County Children Services in abuse, neglect and dependency actions from filing complaints to permanent custody proceedings.

Her comprehensive knowledge of Juvenile Court procedures allows Rebecca to diligently protect parents’ paramount rights to their children at all stages of abuse, neglect and dependency proceedings.

Rebecca has obtained countless emergency orders for parents, grandparents and relatives in private abuse, neglect, and dependency actions and custody disputes, when a child is at risk for immediate physical or emotional harm, including allegations of sexual, physical or emotional abuse.

Also, Rebecca has obtained paternal rights to visitation and custody for fathers to children born out of wedlock, despite the presumption of legal custody to a mother.

She has used alternative dispute resolution methods to mediate highly contested custody battles when common sense suggests non-traditional settlements.  Rebecca frequently negotiates shared parenting plans in lieu of legal custody dispositions.

Rebecca fervently prosecutes and defends divorce complaints and post-decree motions in domestic relations courts and can transform end of marriage agreements into dissolutions in a swift and efficient manner.

Rebecca is a member of:
*Ohio State Bar Association
*Butler County Bar Association

She is a certified OPOTA (Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy) instructor for various special subjects at Butler Tech Police Academy.
